I have had a couple of requests for the GPS file and a few questions about the century.   Here is the route:  Hardinsburg Century

.  I "think" the GPS file is accurate, but if you want to be 100 per cent certain, let me know and I will send you the cue sheet and you can plot it yourself.

It is a nice ride with some climbs, one of which is fairly challenging.  Most of the ride is normally fairly low traffic.  As usual, you may run into dogs, obstacles, road closures, Amish buggies, occasional gravel, etc.   Seems like there is road construction everywhere this summer. Be prepared for the unexpected.  It is what makes rides memorable.  And as always, ride with some common sense.

Lunch is at the Mennonite Store.  Good sandwiches.  Usually not much of a wait, but hey, as soon as I say that it will be an extremely long wait.  Little Twirl should also be open though I have not eaten there for what seems eons.  I do have a vivid memory of Lucky, finger on top of his head, doing ballerina twirls in the parking lot of Little Twirl and of sitting and eating an ice cream cone the size of my head with Diesel Dog another ride;-)  Good times.

This is NOT the ride with the killer steep hill that I have been known to call Betting Hill.  Yes, the hill is on the route, but we go down it, not up it on this century.  Of course, if you are masochistic and really are driven to do hill repeats, I will wait for you until I stop laughing.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  Puddle
