Ride of Silence

RIDE OF SILENCE-Join cyclists WORLDWIDE in this silent, slow paced ride (12 mph max) in honor of those who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. In LOUISVILLE, KY, the ride will begin to assemble at 6:30pm in the parking lot for the Mellwood Arts Center, 1860 Mellwood Avenue. Short program at 6:45. Ride leaves PROMPTLY at 7:00. HELMETS REQUIRED. The local ride will be about 10.5 miles in length and will be a nearly flat ride through the downtown area, out to UofL, and return to the start area. If you choose, wear a BLACK armband in memory of those killed. Wear a RED armband if YOU have been injured.
