    Cycling friends and Martin,

A reminder to everyone that there is no Wheeling Ride scheduled leaving Hogan’s Fountain this week (August 28th – September 3rd).  Perry Finley has a Happy Hills Ride leaving Hogan’s Fountain on Thursday, Sept. 1st at 5:45pm on the schedule.  The Wheeling Rides will resume on Wednesdays starting on Sept. 7th at 6:30pm.

    Still rocking, John Cummings

If you haven’t had the chance to ride the sneaky hills route this year out of Edwardsville Park thru western Floyd Co and northeast Harrison Co --your last chance is this Wednesday evening.  We pulled this route out of mothballs from the ’08 season, and it will probably go on the shelf again next year in favor of something else.  Wheels roll by 6pm.

"Ironman"   Last year the Purple lot was full up and if it is full-up i'm going to move it to the Yellow lot or Eva Bandman park where thay have Cyclocross now and it on the left. I talk to Metro Parks and they said I could park car's in the car parking and it down the hill and if that's full I will move it to Thurman Hutchins Park it is on the right of River Rd across from Cox park. I will use my bike as flag to show you i'm there. Man that is a lot but I will be on River Rd. Come early i'm sure it going to be fun.....

Due to several events downtown, which will make it difficult to navigate River Road, the Saturday 35 mile ride will start at Tom Sawyer Park.

There is a mistake in the schedule.  There will not be a Burdorf ride on Monday Evening on August 22nd.

Dirk Gowin, has contacted me to advise that he has had something come up and is not going to be able to RC the Tuesday Evening August 23rd Burdorf Ride.  If you can volunteer to RC this ride, let Dirk or myself know ASAP.  This ride may have to be cancelled if a substitute RC is not found.

Thanks in Advance for your Help with this!

The Thursday, July 28th Louisville Loop 50 is cancelled.  With temperatures
approaching 100 degrees and the heat index approaching 110, I feel it is too
hot to ride safely.  I will be at the ride start to inform anyone that shows
    up.

    Life is good

Wed ride will leave as scheduled at 7:30 from Long Run Park. It is predicted to be very humid the first few hours, but we should be able to beat the heat with the early start.  The store stop is at mile 29.  The ride is listed as 45 miles, but it is actually about 47. We have a couple of moderate climbs, including a new one, for me, the Col de Taylorsville on 2270.  If you want to see the route, go to this link:
