Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour (OKHT)

Join the Louisville Bicycle Club for the 44th Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour on Saturday, October 19th, 2024.  Powered by Middle of Town Cycling.

October is one of the most beautiful months in Kentucky.  Join us for a 63.7 mile (100 K),  37.8- mile or 20-mile ride through scenic rolling hills of Oldham County.  There will be several challenging hills as you ride through a variety of horse farms in Oldham County at the height of the fall color season. The start and finish line will be located at the main entrance of  beautiful Yew Dell Botanical Gardens.  The ride's after party and lunch will be at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens.

The Tour will have a total of  3 SAG stops.   The 20, 40 and 62.1 mile rides ALL stop at the World Famous Homemade Cookie stop at Cabin Creek Farm.  Both the 40 and 62.1 mile rides stop at Circle Bar C Ranch located within the magnificent L'Espirit equestrian community.  The 62.1 mile ride stops at Chestnut Hall Racehorse Sanctuary at the top of Mayo Lane.

To kick off the weekend, on Friday afternoon, a well attended Louisville Bicycle Club ride will leave from 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens.  Here you can pick up your packet,  kick back and enjoy a beer or a sweet tea and get to know the folks from Louisville Bicycle Club, the friendliest bike club around

Kentuckians share a rich cultural history that doesn't confine itself to just one community. Eyes moisten all over the state when we hear that sad old refrain from the classic Stephen Foster ballad. We're just sharing another beautiful region of our Old Kentucky Home.
