Route Distance: 101-miles
Starting Location: Mile Wide Brewing Company
Route Description: The route is a figure eight that will start at Mile Wide Brewing Company in Louisville, KY. The course will go out the Louisville Loop to Southwest Jefferson County, through parts of Jefferson Memorial Forest, Iroquois Park, and back to Mile Wide Brewing for the first part of the route. You will then head from Mile Wide Brewing to New Albany via the Ohio River Greenway, then back to Jeffersonville to Utica, and back to Mile Wide Brewing to conclude the ride.
Several years ago, John Cummings and I (Andy Murphy) hosted "A Good First Century". The ride featured very little climbing. On Saturday, September 3rd, I will host what I'll call "A Good Second Century." This ride will go through the Jefferson Memorial Forest and Iroquois Park--a total of 2500' of elevation gain. You should have some miles in your legs and be prepared to do a bit of climbing. Store stops will be plentiful on the route. The ride will be swept at a 13 mph pace. Paper cue sheets will also be provided.
If this is your first Century, that's cool; just be prepared.
Life is good
