Tour de Mad Dog Series Stage 2: Hibernia 100 - 4C

Starting Location:  200 Missouri Ave., Jeffersonville, IN 47130, USA

This is a parking lot we have used many times, for several years. This is near the Second Street Bridge, and (interesting fact) it is near a small bar called Losers 812, which is nicer than the name would indicate.

Route Description: 

Hibernia 100 - New route, but many riders may have ridden popular sections of this route before. The climbing is all evenly distributed, with the Tunnel Mill section being the most challenging area with one sharp climb. 1st store stop will be in Charlestown @ 18 miles, this will be at the Valero as it has a restroom. The day I drove the route @ Mile 20 which is just before the downhill into the Boy Scout Camp section on Tunnel Mill there was a dog which chased my car - have never seen a dog there before and I have been through there many times. 2nd stop is the store in New Washington - there is a porta-pot for a restroom. 3rd stop is in Henryville @ mile 70. The Shell station on the right has better facilities. During the last 38 miles, this route crosses Silver Creek six times - just in case that sort of thing interests you.

Most importantly, be safe, please have a functional rear blinky light. Wear bright colors. Be prepared and have spare tubes - basic tools - CO2 cartridges - more and more people are now even carrying a spare tire (especially after all of the holiday feasting!). The ride will be swept, sunset is at 6pm, it will start getting colder around 4:30pm - 5pm, let that be your motivation, rather than posting a minimum MPH average. I ride at night all winter long. I'll bring a headlamp.
