WHAT IS IT?

Cranksgiving is a free food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride and part food drive that’s has been held annually nationally since 1999.

This is Louisville's fifth one and we are stoked. All food collected will benefit Dare to Care Food Bank's food pantry at Catholic Enrichment Center which is part of their Produce, Pantry, and Commodities Programs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Riders of all ages and skill levels receive a map of nearby grocery stores and ride their bikes – regardless of weather — to designated grocery stores to purchase one or more food items specified on list. Everything purchased must be hauled by bicycle, either in a bag, pannier, rack, or trailer.

You will return to the park to donate the food you collected. All donated items will benefit the Dare to Care Food Bank's food pantry at Catholic Enrichment Center which is part of their Produce, Pantry, and Commodities Programs.

Be prepared to spend about $15 (or however much you can) and ride between .5-6 miles.

Be sure to tell your friends. Use #cranksgivinglouisville.

Participating is easy as 1-2-3:

1- Register here. Link: coming soon!

2-Print the Food Items List and Shop.
