Route Description: This will be the fifth Mad Dog century of the year. It will be cold. Dress in layers. Bring water and any sports drink or powders that will keep you hydrated. You will also need tubes, tools and anything necessary to change a flat. There will be riders who can help with changing a flat, but you need to supply the tools. Should you have problems along the way, be sure to have someone you can call to pick you up and return you to your car. You should also bring plenty of snacks - GU, cliff bars, etc. The Pilot will be your rest stop at mile 29 and then Speedway (across the street from the Pilot) at mile 71. This is an out and back route. Lunch will be at the Subway at mile 54 after returning from the Lincoln Historical Park. The ride captain will have a few cue sheets - please print your own. Sometimes GPS doesn't work in remote areas - so be prepared with a cue sheet. Please sign in at the start of the ride and you must sign in at the end of the ride too - in order to get credit for the century. You need to be able to ride 100 miles at at 13-14 mph average. Group riding is encouraged. Points are given for completing the ride with a group of 5 or more. We have many great bike shops in our area, you should have your bike tuned up before the start of this Mad Dog series.
